Now for the Tidbits

- A permit was issued for the demolition of the former Garden Motel on Northwest Boulevard. Watch for news of a major development there.

- A major development called The Crossroads is proposed for Athol. Watch for details. We anticipate a Super 1, a bank, coffee shop, a motel, a gas station-convenience store, a restaurant and others.

- Watch for Papa John’s Pizza where Lava Dog was in Hayden, a new eatery (Asian?) where Kynrede Cafe was in Hayden, a doughnut shop where Freedom Burrito was off Highway 95, an office of Waddell & Reed at 320 E. Neider, Advance Auto Parts and The Beauty Lounge on Sunset Avenue, Sweet Lou’s Restaurant and Tap House in the Parkside building on Front Avenue, Grabbagreen at Highway 95-Neider and the gas station-convenience store in the southwest corner of Highway 95 and Lancaster.

- On Sherman Avenue watch for Rustic Restaurant at 309 Sherman (next to Clark’s Jewelry), Community First Bank at 504 Sherman, STCU at 401 Front and a Starbucks where the gas-convenience store is at Sherman and Seventh.

- We also have Advanced Health Care and Schini Family Dentistry building new places in Riverstone and Sweeto Burrito building near Winco and Maximus Inc. on Mineral Drive.

- New places in Post Falls will be PQH Wireless, Popeyes, Green & Grounds Coffee Shop, Cricket Wireless, Silverlake Automotive, The Lean Bean and Dutch Bros. Coffee.

- Places evidently coming to the revised Post Falls Outlet Mall include 59:Escape Adventures, Ace Industrial Supply, SNR Costume Rental, Black-Ops Self Defense, My Big Fat Greek Deli, a comic book store and a coffee espresso store.

- Jam — A sugary fruit preserve or to wedge tightly. Jamb — Vertical pieces that form the sides of a frame of a window or door.

- New Definition: Burglarize — What a crook sees through.

- Wow. Runge Furniture is celebrating its 75th anniversary. I thought those people looked old.
