Beverly Rose Finney, 69
Coeur d'Alene Press | UPDATED 8 years, 3 months AGO
Oct. 8, 1946 — Oct. 1, 2016
On Oct. 1, 2016, Heaven opened its gates to an amazing, beautiful, kind-hearted lady; Beverly Rose Finney. She fought a hard battle with her cancer, but she always remained so positive, and she continued to fight to the very end. Her faith in God was extremely strong. She closed her eyes to go to Heaven with her family and friends by her bedside. While we all were saying the “Lord’s Prayer,” her last breath was when we all said Amen. We instantly knew she was at Peace and with the Lord.
Beverly was born Oct. 8, 1946, where she grew up in Fullerton, Calif. She graduated from Sunny Hills High School in 1964. She later attended Fullerton State College where she studied cosmetology. She was an office manager to local medical doctors in Coeur d’Alene/Spokane for several years until she became part owner in Coeur d’Alene Electric with her husband, Peter.
Beverly is survived by her husband, Peter Finney, whom has been the love of her life for 35 years. Bev had three children from a previous marriage: daughter Tonya Finney (husband Steve Finney), son Bradley Finney and daughter Christina Finney (who she will meet at Heaven’s gates); and stepdaughter Marisa Piazza. Beverly’s loving grandchildren whom brought joy and happiness to her life include: Jessica Niles, Natasha Finney, Nicholas Finney, Courtney Finney, Mikayla Galeon and Nathan Grockoiski Jr. She also had several nieces and nephews whom she adored. Beverly’s siblings include: brothers Ron Meyer (Wendy) and Marty Meyer (Barbara); and sister Patricia Gibbons (Terry).
Beverly is preceded in death by her father, Edwin Meyer; mother Lillian Meyer and daughter Christina Rose Finney.
Beverly will be greatly missed by all that knew her. With her loving heart she touched us all. She taught us how to be loving, caring and strong individuals, and to always put others before ourselves. God Bless you Mom, we love you with all our hearts.
Beverly’s funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on her birthday, Saturday, Oct. 8, 2016, at Christ the King Lutheran Church. Public viewing will be available from 9-10 a.m. at Christ the King Lutheran Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made at any Wells Fargo location in Honor of Beverly Finney, with proceeds to benefit North Idaho Hospice.
