Man upset over 'communist' dump rules

Flathead County Sheriff’s Office received a call from a dump site worker in Lakeside who was worried after a man became very hostile and started swearing after the man was told that he was not allowed to dump brush at the site. The man got out of the vehicle, allegedly threatened the worker, and then left and spun his tires so they threw gravel. An officer located the man and the man explained that he and other residents were upset with the new “communist” rules at the dump site. He admitted to spinning gravel and conceded once an officer pointed out that the dump site personnel were only workers doing their jobs. The man then headed back to the dump site to apologize.
A person on Bernard Road called for assistance after a man allegedly threatened to kill the dog the caller had been walking after it sniffed the man’s mailbox. The caller was counseled.
A woman called from Kila to report that someone had come into her home and stolen rocks that had gold in them. The woman said the problem had been ongoing for three months.
Someone called to report that a business on U.S. 2 East near Kalispell appeared to have six bullet holes in its window.
Someone in Coram reported that a two-axle trailer meant for hauling all-terrain vehicles had been stolen.
A man in Martin City reported that the window to his truck had been broken out.
Someone reported that all the windows of a business outside of Columbia Falls had been busted out.
Several items were reported missing from condominiums on Big Mountain Road outside of Whitefish. One of the items appeared to have possibly turned up on Craigslist, listed as “for sale.”
Someone called from Lake County and asked that officers be on the lookout for a woman and man who had allegedly just run over a man with a vehicle and headed north on Montana 35 toward Flathead County. The victim was allegedly the woman’s soon-to-be ex-husband. A deputy patrolled the Bigfork area, but found nothing.
Whitefish Police took a call from a woman on Baker Avenue who just wanted to say thank you for the department’s good work.
A man was reunited with his gun after the department was able to retrieve it. The man had reported the .45 Glock as stolen last year.
An officer counseled parties on West Third Street after a man reported that someone had told him that something bad was going to happen if he did not give the person his or her money back for a set of rims that the person bought but did not like.
Kalispell Police were sent to First Avenue East, where a woman allegedly was dragging around a dog with apparent injuries. A caller claimed the woman was abusing the dog. The officer was unable to locate a suspect.
Parties were counseled after a woman allegedly ran a stop sign on U.S. 93 and almost hit a man and his daughter. The man called police and the woman allegedly started yelling at him, about how she was having a bad day. The man said that the woman threatened to kill him if he touched her car.
Two dogs were taken to the shelter after a woman reported that she had been walking on Second Avenue West when the dogs charged her. She pepper-sprayed the animals.
