Sagle thrift store closed after crash

SAGLE — The front of the Sagle Senior Thrift Store is boarded up following a crash that rendered the building unfit for business at this time.
"It's closed until further notice until we get the repairs completed," said Bert Britton, store manager and chairman of the board for Sagle Senior Citizens, Inc. "We are in the process of getting estimates right now."
Around noon on Sept. 28 a woman lost control of her vehicle near the thrift store, 70 Walker Way, Sagle. A problem with the brakes caused her vehicle to strike the front of the store, Britton said.
The crash destroyed the wall and windows near the entrance, along with some china, knick-knacks and other items.
Profit from the thrift store pays the rent and upkeep on the building, as well as helping out the senior center in Sagle.
Britton said the thrift store is not accepting donations at this time either. Since the building and business is not operational, it would be difficult for store employees to sort the donations.
He said the public will be informed when the store is set to reopen.
