Authorities have arrested a man they suspect is connected to the possible homicide of 30-year-old Sheena Devine of Libby.

Lincoln County Undersheriff Brandon Huff said authorities have executed a search warrant on a 42-year-old Libby man, who is being held in custody.

Additional details, including the suspect’s name, are expected to be released later today after charges are filed.

According to a press release, Lincoln County Dispatch received a call for medical assistance at about 10 a.m. on Thursday. Someone reported that a woman might have been assaulted in the night. Devine was found dead on arrival.

Huff declined to comment on the manner of Devine’s death.

“All of that will become public information later,” Huff said.

Libby Police Department, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office and the Montana Division of Criminal Investigation are currently investigating the death.

Huff said the state agency was called to help local investigators.

“They have evidence teams and staff that have more resources than we do,” Huff said.

The article will be updated as information becomes available.
