STORES: No place to play

This is an open letter to parents who allow their kids to run free in stores. Amazing how many parents turn their kids loose in stores to run around playing tag, hide and seek or whatever they want to do, having no concern about them getting hurt or stumbling into other people shopping there.

Any parent who has a lick of sense would discipline their kids. Any store those free running kids get hurt in is the parents’ responsibility, not the store’s. Every day there are frivolous lawsuits because of people who think the store is responsible for any injury their kids get when running and playing tag in a store full of people. Stores are only responsible for accidents, not malicious behavior.

If you care about your kids’ safety, don’t allow them to play, running in stores. Most parents teach their kids of the dangers of playing in the street. Why not teach them to act safely in stores?
