Items from large-inventory stores are featured at Rocky Mountain Liquidation that opened last week at 11407 Government Way in Hayden.

The emphasis is on furniture, and other products include household items, exercise equipment, clothing and more — primarily from Costco and Target. Owners Scott and Cari Fraser have been small business owners in North Idaho for 23 years and have a successful online distribution business.

With two employees, their hours are noon to 5 p.m. weekdays and adding Saturdays soon. Phone 762-0168. Check Rocky Mountain Liquidation on Facebook.

Dutch Bros. Coffee opens in Post Falls

The third location in North Idaho has been opened for Dutch Bros. Coffee at 3782 E. Mullan Ave. in Post Falls.

With drive-throughs and patio seating, hours are 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily. Owners Jeff and Brandi Buller also have Coeur d’Alene Dutch Bros. outlets on Northwest Boulevard and at Government Way and Hanley Avenue.

Dutch Bros. started in 1992 and also sells clothing, shoes, mugs and, of course, coffee on its www.dutchbros.com website.

Abba’s Catholic Bookstore opens

Located in Suite 200 of Lake City Plaza at 1621 N. Third St., Abba’s Catholic Bookstore has books, greeting cards, jewelry, rosaries, DVDs and small statues such as the nativity scene — and a reading room.

Owners Robert and Deborah Geist offer hours of 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays and 10 to 4 Saturdays and by appointment. Phone 930-4046. Check www.abbascatholicbookscda.com.

Daycare, preschool for Creative Tots

Creative Tots Learning Center, a daycare and preschool, is in large rooms of the former Britches & Bows location at 901 N. Third St.

Clients can be two weeks old to 5 years with the preschool for 3 to 5-year-olds. Tracey Fleck and Sehara Gardner opened the center this past week.

Hours are 5:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. weekdays. Phone 666-1543. Check www.creativetotslearningcenter@yahoo.com.

Now for the Tidbits

• Watch for news on a huge indoor soccer facility at the southwest corner of Prairie Avenue and Huetter Road, and on Hastings becoming a Vintage Stock store.

• Shilo Inn on Appleway has a new owner (Town Pump of Montana) and will become Comfort Suites after a huge remodel of its 138 rooms.

• A permit was issued for the demolition of the former Garden Motel on Northwest Boulevard. Watch for news of a major development there.

• A major development called The Crossroads is proposed for Athol. Watch for details. We anticipate a Super 1, a bank, coffee shop, a motel, a gas station-convenience store, a restaurant and others.

• Watch for Papa John’s Pizza where Lava Dog was in Hayden, Apogee Medical at 601 E. Front Ave., a new eatery (Asian?) where Kynrede Cafe was in Hayden, a doughnut shop where Freedom Burrito was off Highway 95, an office of Waddell & Reed at 320 E. Neider, Advance Auto Parts and The Beauty Lounge on Sunset Ave., Sweet Lou’s Restaurant and Tap House in the Parkside building on Front Ave., Grabbagreen at Highway 95-Neider and the gas station-convenience store in the southwest corner of Highway 95 and Lancaster.

• On Sherman Avenue watch for Rustic Restaurant at 309 Sherman (next to Clark’s Jewelry), Community First Bank at 504 Sherman and STCU at 401 Front. The Starbucks where the gas-convenience store is at Sherman and Seventh might not be happening.

• We also have Advanced Health Care and Schini Family Dentistry building new places in Riverstone and Sweeto Burrito building near Winco and Maximus Inc. on Mineral Drive. Evidently Chili’s Restaurant has a new owner.

• New places in Post Falls will be PQH Wireless, Popeyes, Green & Grounds Coffee Shop, Cricket Wireless, Silverlake Automotive and The Lean Bean.

• Places coming to the revised Post Falls Outlet Mall include 59:Escape Adventures, Riverstone Apparel, SNR (Special Needs Recreation) Costume Rental, Black-Ops Self Defense, My Big Fat Greek Deli, a comic book store and a coffee espresso store. Details soon on Ace Industrial Supply, which is open.

• Pain MD in front of Shopko off Highway 95 has closed.

• New definition: Avoidable — what a bullfighter tries to do.

• It’s hard to make a comeback when you haven’t been anywhere.

• The Art Spirit Gallery on Sherman Avenue remains open and has a strong lineup of artists for 2017 despite owner Steve Gibbs being stricken with ALS. His gallery always is one of the mainstays for Art Walk, the second Friday of each month. That’s this week. Watch for a fundraiser to be held for Gibbs.
