Loggers win 1 of 2, but fail to make playoffs

The Libby Loggers won over Whitefish on Saturday 2-0, but with Thursday’s loss to 3-1 Polson, the team came in short in conference wins to make it to the playoffs, finishing the season with three wins, six losses and one tie.

During their final home game against Polson, but were able to come back during their game against Whitefish on Saturday.

Libby had eight shots against Whitefish, with Cody Wood scoring two of their goals and Giovanni Cano assisting in the second.

Austin Swartzenberger made two saves, and the team had five corner kicks against Whitefish’s one.

The team made 17 goals through the season, with a total of 30 against the team.

Only one of their wins was a conference win, with five of their six losses being in conference.
