- Picture day at Fair-Mont-Egan Elementary will be Wednesday.
- Smith Valley students have an early out Wednesday. Kindergarten through third is dismissed at 12:45 p.m. and fourth through eighth grade at 12:55 p.m.
- Most schools are out Thursday and Friday for the MEA conference.
- Skip Out Camp through Kalispell Parks and Recreation is set for 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday at Elrod Elementary. Open to ages 5-13. Cost is $30 per day. Dress for the weather, pack a sack lunch and snacks and be ready to play outside and participate in fun activities.
- A relationship-building class for parents and teens is planned from 8:45 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 22 at Flathead Valley Community College. “Parents and Teenagers: Bridging the Gap,” will be led by Sam Herbert, a retired mental health professional. Herbert will work with parents and teens to help identify communication style. Causes of conflict and strategies to manage and resolve them will also be covered. - West Valley students will be dismissed at 1 p.m. Oct. 26.
- Flathead County 4-H has planned an Interstate Exchange meeting at 6 p.m. Oct. 27 at the 4-H building in the fairgrounds.
- A teen social will be held from 4 to 5:40 p.m. Oct. 27 at ImagineIF Kalispell. Teens in grades sixth through 12th are invited to attend in costume and make a cake using a mug. There will be free food.
- Kila School is holding its fall carnival from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 28 and it is currently looking for people to donate bags of candy.
- Celebrate “Creatures of the Night” at Lone Pine State Park Visitor Center from 2-4 p.m. Oct. 29. The event on nocturnal animals will feature games and crafts geared to ages 4 through 9. Costumes are encouraged. Cost is $4.
- Flathead 4-H’ers interested in shooting sports may register from noon to 4 p.m. Oct. 29 or Nov. 5 at the 4-H building located at the fairgrounds.
- There is no school Oct. 31 for Evergreen students. It is a teacher work day.
- Nov. 3 is picture day at Smith Valley School.
- Kila students will have an early dismissal at 2 and 2:20 p.m. Nov. 4.
- Flathead High School senior portraits for the yearbook are due Nov. 6.
- There is no school Nov. 7 for Somers-Lakeside students. It is a teacher work day.
- Parent/teacher conferences at Columbia Falls School District are set for Nov. 8.
- Nov. 9 is an early out for Helena Flats School. Parent/teacher conferences will be Nov. 9-10.
n Drop-in parent/teacher conferences at West Valley School will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Nov. 9-10.
- Parent/teacher conferences are set for Nov. 10 at Marion School.
- Swan River students have a 1:45 p.m. dismissal Nov. 10. Parent/teacher conferences are planned.
- Parent/teacher conferences at Columbia Falls School District are set for Nov. 10-11.
- There is no school for grades kindergarten through fifth in Columbia Falls School District for teacher training.
- There is no school for Helena Flats students Nov. 11. It is a teacher work day.
- West Valley students will have no school Nov. 11.
- Smith Valley students have an early out Nov. 15. Kindergarten through third is dismissed at 12:45 p.m. and fourth through eighth grade at 12:55 p.m. Parent/teacher conferences start at 1 p.m.
- Create a journal at ImagineIF Bigfork, Columbia Falls and Kalispell locations Nov. 15-26 while supplies last.
- Kila parent/teacher conferences are planned Nov. 16-17.

- West Valley School will hold a holiday craft show, silent auction, bake sale and festival from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 19. The craft show is a fundraiser for the school.
- Thanksgiving break at Whitefish Christian Academy is Nov.21-25.
- Flathead 4-H’ers registered for shooting sports should attend orientation at 7 p.m. Nov. 21 in the Expo building at the fairgrounds.
- There is no school for Helena Flats, Marion and Kila students Nov. 23. It is a teacher work day.
- There is no school Nov. 23 for Somers-Lakeside students. It is a teacher work day.
- Many students have no school Nov. 23-25 for Thanksgiving break.
- Nov. 30 marks the end of the trimester for Creston and Olney-Bissell students.
- Dec. 2 marks the end of the first trimester for Bigfork School District.
- Parent/teacher conferences at Creston School are scheduled Dec. 7-8. Students are dismissed early on Dec. 8.
- Dec. 7 is the deadline to submit a form for a special call from Santa. Kalispell Parks and Recreation has a direct line to Santa at the North Pole and can make arrangements with Santa to give children a call on Dec. 8. Open to children ages 3 to 10. There is no cost. - Marion School will hold a Christmas music program at 6 p.m. Dec. 15.
