Kalispell Police Department responded to a report from a woman on Ponderosa Street who said an intoxicated man was using her medical card, got irate, punched her and threw her on the ground. The man was said to have a history of drug use and partner/family member assault.

People were heard breaking glass in a room on U.S. 93 South.

Someone at a Fourth Avenue West residence reported his or her door “busted in” and medication missing.

A vehicle was reportedly broken into on Appleway Drive.

Two men, one allegedly wearing a surgical boot, were spotted spray-painting a door on First Avenue East North.

Two trucks were seen racing back and forth on Four Mile Drive.

Whitefish Police Department responded to a report from State Park Road that neighbors were reportedly leaving trash out that attracted a black bear to the area.

A woman on Baker Avenue said “she received another creepy phone call,” and this time, a person reportedly said “they were coming to get her.”

A woman on Wisconsin Avenue reported someone broke into a vehicle and stole gifts. The woman also reported that someone attempted to cash her checks.

A lock on a mailbox was reportedly broken and mail stolen on West Eighth Street.

A person allegedly saw a window broken out on U.S. 93 South and saw people walk away. The caller told police he or she had their faces on camera.

An employee on Central Avenue reported hearing a kitten inside a car engine. The caller was afraid the vehicle’s owner wasn’t aware of the situation and wanted police to locate the owner. The kitten was later reported out of the vehicle.

Columbia Falls Police Department received two reports of black bear sightings. The first person, calling from Seventh Street East, described the black bear as a small cub with a tag in its ear and said three people saw it within one to two hours. Police notified Fish, Wildlife and Parks about the sightings. A second report came in that had the black bear crossing a highway and headed toward “the park area.”
