Coeur d'Alene Press | UPDATED 9 years, 2 months AGO
Kids will get to play doctor Saturday with some stuffed friends at Kootenai Health in Coeur d’Alene.
A teddy bear clinic will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Kootenai’s Health Resource Center, 2003 Kootenai Health Way.
Parents are invited to bring their children and their kids’ favorite stuffed animals to the event.
“Watch medical fears disappear as teddy undergoes a series of screenings and procedures at this fun and interactive event,” said the hospital’s announcement of the clinic.
Hosted by Kootenai Health’s Pediatric Services, the clinic’s goal is to help children have a better understanding of how hospitals treat patients and reduce fear before their first hospital experience.
The kids and their stuffed animals will take vital signs. They will see the operating room, learn about medication safety and try on gloves and masks.
Everyone who attends will have a chance to win a giant teddy bear.
This free clinic is designed for children ages 3-7.
