LAW ROUNDUP: Stolen pumpkins suspected in destruction

A Garland Street resident told Kalispell Police that some pumpkins were stolen off his porch Monday morning. A couple of hours later, a different Garland Street resident called about a mailbox that had been damaged by a pumpkin.
Police investigated a shoplifting report from a business on North Main Street.
An employee at a U.S. 93 South business called police about a phony $100 bill. Officers later determined the bill was legitimate.
An Eighth Avenue West resident called to report finding a bicycle. Officers picked up the purple children’s bike.
A caller told officers he found a safe that had been broken into near Woodland Park. Officers recovered the safe, which was damaged and empty.
Someone found a black and white terrier wandering near a West Idaho Street business. The dog was taken to the animal shelter.
A cooler full of toys found on East Montana Street was turned over to police.
A Glenwood Drive resident reported items and keys stolen out of an unlocked vehicle.
A Fourth Avenue East resident told police a trailer had been stolen from his house.
A caller complained about two dogs barking all day on Triple Creek Drive. Officers were unable to make contact with the animals’ owners.
Two black and white puppies were taken to the animal shelter after reportedly being found abandoned at the Kila green-box site.
The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office responded to an office on Big Mountain Road that had been broken into and ransacked.
An Addison Square resident called when two hunters were allegedly hunting on private property near the caller’s house and refused to leave. The caller told dispatchers that he was “about ready to start shooting back.”
A Rainbow Drive resident called to report three dogs on the porch that didn’t belong. The same dogs allegedly had been responsible for a previous attack on the caller’s dogs. Deputies made contact with the dogs’ owner and a warning was issued.
A Saint Andrews Drive resident called to report items missing from her house. She suspected a recently hired painter may be to blame.
A yellow lab was reported running loose in the parking lot of a Montana 83 business in Bigfork. The dog was taken to the Flathead County Animal Shelter.
A Montana 206 resident reported that his home was burglarized. The caller said a car and tools had been taken from the garage overnight.
A caller told deputies that a pair of young boys were driving drunk on Foothill Road in Kalispell. The caller allegedly saw a case of beer in the back of the suspects’ truck, and said the vehicle was “all over the road, running others onto the shoulder.” Deputies were unable to locate the suspects or the vehicle.
The Kalispell Fire Department responded to reports of a gas odor on Four Mile Drive.
The Somers-Lakeside Fire Department responded to reports of a grass fire on Lower Valley Road.
