Nov. 8 election information

Kootenai County Clerk Jim Brannon is reminding voters that requests to have absentee ballots mailed to them for the Nov. 8 election must be submitted to the Kootenai County Elections office by 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28.
An absentee ballot request form can be downloaded by visiting http://bit.ly/2dJXHgj which can be returned by mail, fax or email.
“Those who want to vote early in person can do so at the Elections office between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday through Nov. 4,” said Brannon, in an announcement released Monday.
The Elections office is located at 1808 N. Third St. in Coeur d’Alene. To cast a ballot, a registered voter will be asked to present a photo ID sign or sign a Personal Identity Affidavit instead.
Voters who’ve moved or changed names must re-register. They, and new registrants, must bring a photo ID and proof of residency with their current address listed, dated at least 30 days prior to their voting date.

Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on election day.

No party affiliation is required for the Nov. 8 election.
