MOSES LAKE — There is some moving and shaking going on in the Moses Lake real estate community with the merger of Windermere Real Estate K-2 Realty LLC of Moses Lake and Advantage Real Estate of Moses Lake.

Windermere Real Estate K-2 Realty LLC of Moses Lake will handle residential and commercial real estate transactions at its 2900 W. Broadway Ave. office. All property management will be conducted at Windermere Property Management Grant County Inc. at 324 Ash St.

“This merger is a continuation of our long commitment to serving Grant County with every aspect of its housing needs,” said Heather Adkinson, who along with partner Barry Lawson purchased Windermere K-2 in 2013.

The new business venture will combine managed properties of both firms, which total over 600 properties. The property management will operate under one roof under the direction of former Advantage owner Jeff Foster. Foster purchased Dave Jones Real Estate in 1997 and created Advantage Real Estate.

“This is a super opportunity to work with good people and a strong Northwest presence,” Foster said. “We feel by putting the two teams together it is going to show the community we can operate on a bigger, better basis. We have the team that can handle the whole package of property management to residential and commercial property sales. I’m excited.”

The transition is already in place and moving forward.

“Jeff is a phenomenal property manager,” Adkinson said. “The best way for us to serve the rental needs of the community was to create the large scale property management office, kind of a one stop shop.”

Windermere Real Estate is ranked as the largest real estate company in the Western United States and has had a presence in Moses Lake for over 20 years.

“This move will allow Windermere Real Estate K-2 Realty LLC to focus on real estate,” Lawson said. “Realtors Marian Heilig and Linds Black of Advantage will bring a combined 35 years of real estate experience to Windermere K-2 Realty. Their addition is tremendous and we’re excited to have them join the team.”
