COEUR d'ALENE — Marshall Mend, a long-time local real estate broker, has organized monthly motivational meetings at North Idaho College that are open to the public.

The first meeting, set for Monday, Nov. 7 from 7 to 8:30 a.m., is free. Subsequent meetings — except when there is a holiday — are held on the first Monday of each month at the same time.

Later meetings are $3.

Those who plan to attend the meetings should RSVP with Mend at 769-2359 as there is limited seating. Leave your name and number in the message.

All of the "First Monday Winner's Circle" breakfast meetings are at NIC's Student Union Building in the Lake Coeur d'Alene Room.

"We want to change the world one month at a time," Mend said. "Everybody can be a winner; most people just don't know it."

An optional breakfast is available in the SUB.

"We're trying to keep the cost as low as possible," Mend said.

Mend will speak at the first meeting on the power to choose. The title of his speech is, "Anyone can be a millionaire. Why not you? Anyone can be happy. Why not you? Anyone can fall in love with themselves. Why not you?"

Board members of the meetings include: Mend, Cari Fraser, LaDonna Beaumont, John Lasher, Steve Griffitts, Sandy Emerson and Jimmy McAndrew.
