Oct. 25, 1916 – HAS SKULL OPENED
Yesterday Dr. Warren S. Moore performed what is considered a very difficult piece of surgery at the City hospital. Benny Oschgar, who has been for some time an inmate of the insane asylum at Orofino was operated on and a tumor removed from the brain. SANDPOINT HIGH LOSES 85-0
Last Saturday the Sandpoint high school football team made the trip to Coeur d’Alene to play the high school team there. The final result is not to be spoken, but just whispered, 85-0.
Next Saturday the Coeur d’Alene team comes here and the local boys have woke up from their dream and you can bet they will go after those fellows with a vengeance.

HIGH SCHOOL NOTES
We played the C.H.S. Saturday, ‘Tis a story sad but true, We went down to win the game, But came back mighty blue. The score it kept crawlin’ up, For them, you know, not us: We somehow couldn’t make it go, Our score just stayed there thus: A zero mark, a plain blank zero, Was all that came our way, But, never mind, the score will change – We’ll beat them here some day, And Saturday, the 28th, Is the day we’ve set, you know, So come out strong, yell for the team, And watch us make it go.
