Lady Trojans get first conference win

The Troy Lady Trojans won their first conference game this season against Thompson Falls last week.

Troy defeated the Bluehawks in five games: 25-20, 25-19, 17-25, 22-25, 15-12.

“We played pretty well,” head coach Mandy Love said. “We were able to up our kills from the last two matches.”

Sami Rohrich had an impressive game, leading with a team-high in kills and blocks.

“[Rohrich] had a really nice game, probably her best yet,” Love said.

Rohrich led the team in kills with 11 of their total 29.

The team had a whopping 12 blocks, with Rohrich leading with four and Allie Coldwell and Alyssa Lewis with three each.

Allie Brown provided 27 of the team’s 29 assists.

Together, the team scored 13 aces with Brown leading with four.

Out of the team’s 66 digs, Kaitlyn Downey dug 27 balls.

Troy will play at 10 a.m. Saturday at the district tournament in Eureka.
