A Billings man was sentenced to 10 years in Montana State Prison on Thursday for leading police on a vehicle pursuit in January before crashing the stolen truck he was driving into eight parked vehicles at an Evergreen car dealership.
Dale Frederick Siefke, 25, had pleaded guilty to felony criminal endangerment in the case.
Siefke was arrested Jan. 19 after he was spotted in the Walmart parking lot in Kalispell in a truck that matched a description of a stolen vehicle. Siefke sped off in an attempt to flee when the truck hit another truck, causing it to spin 180 degrees.
Multiple agencies chased or looked for the truck until it crashed into eight parked vehicles at Glacier Auto Co. in Evergreen, causing thousands of dollars in damage.
As part of the sentence Siefke was ordered to pay $2,268.10 in restitution. The judge also revoked Siefke’s felony probationary sentences for a forgery case that originated in November 2012 and a criminal possession of dangerous drug conviction from a July 2014 incident.
