ELLENSBURG — Othello had a chance to share the Central Washington Athletic Conference league championship with a win at Ellensburg, but the Bulldogs weren’t in a generous mood.

Ellensburg secured the outright league championship with a four-set win 21-25, 25-13, 25-20, 25-13.

Othello will be the No. 2 seed in the district tournament and host a semifinal match Oct. 29.

Kiona-Benton 3, Warden 0

WARDEN — Warden ended its season with three-set loss to Kiona-Benton 25-16, 25-3, 25-18.

Warden finished with a 5-9 record in the South Central Athletic Conference East, missing the playoffs. Angel Reyes and Angelica Vela had four and six digs, respectively. Amanda Contreras added five blocks.

Grandview 3, Quincy 0

GRANDVIEW — Quincy was swept on the road to close its regular season.

Morgan Kleyn had nine kills. Individual set scores were not available by press time.

Soap Lake 3, Lake Roosevelt 2

COULEE DAM — Soap Lake solidified third place in the Central Washington 2B league with a five-set win at Lake Roosevelt. 25-18, 18-25, 19-25, 25-16, 15-9.

Taylor Harvill and Makenna Johnson notched four kills each.

Moses Lake 3, Eisenhower 2

YAKIMA — Moses Lake beat Eisenhower for the first time since 2013 12-25, 20-25, 25-19, 25-23, 15-9.

Yasmin Shateri had a team-high 15 kills and Amy Lunderville added 17 assists and 17 digs.

Elly Johnson and Gabi Rios had seven kills each.

Girls soccer

Warden 2, Royal 1

ROYAL CITY — Aubree Skone and Bailey Whitney scored one goal each and Warden ended its regular season with a win at Royal 2-1.

Yajara Michel scored Royal’s lone goal in the 73rd minute.

“Several golden opportunities presented themselves in the closing minutes, but the attempts were either saved or missed the mark,” Royal head coach Jens Jensen said.

Warden hosts Cle Elum-Roslyn in a first-round district playoff game Saturday at 11 a.m.

Moses Lake 4, Eisenhower 0

YAKIMA — Abby Rathbun scored four goals and Moses Lake beat Eisenhower 4-0.

Moses Lake closes its season at home against Sunnyside, 7 p.m., Thursday.
