CHURCH: Message is true
Coeur d'Alene Press | UPDATED 9 years, 1 month AGO
I’m sorry that Annika Holmes was disturbed by Pastor Paul’s message at Candlelight Christian Fellowship on Oct 23. This message did not reflect his usual Bible teaching. But trust that his message is vital in this election cycle. It needs to be delivered by other Christian ministers to their congregations and is based on the words of Jesus.
On the night before Jesus’ crucifixion, he told Pilate; “…To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.” John 18:37. (KJV)
Pastor Paul shared the spiritual truth for Christians to consider.
Secular society constantly attacks Christianity in schools, media, government, and other venues in our nation. To ignore these attacks is cowardly, ignorant, and corrupting our children, grandchildren, and even great-grandchildren (in my case).
An example from recent history preceded the German holocaust. Most leaders of Protestant, Catholic, and Jewish faiths did not speak up until it was too late. And many members of these faiths voted for Hitler. Silence led to an ultimately evil result.
I thank the Lord for Pastor Paul’s courage and leadership in delivering this message.
