CHURCH: This one's dynamic
Coeur d'Alene Press | UPDATED 8 years, 3 months AGO
As a member of Candlelight Church, I would like to personally thank Annika Holmes’ review of her visit to my church. No doubt many people looking for a dynamic Bible church will read your review and choose to attend Candlelight as a result. Most Christians are tired of feel-good, milquetoast sermons which leave them without clear application to the daily issues we all face.
Any study of the history of the Protestant Church will show that pastors who boldly teach from the Word of God in its entirety were deemed “politically incorrect.” I’m sure you would agree that this is a season of political upheaval! It is most unusual for Pastor Paul to spend an entire sermon on the importance of our vote — but he knows that a pastor’s calling is to give a clear voice on all issues which impact our lives, in ways we can each make a difference — from a Biblical perspective. He always couches his comments with “in my opinion” and always invites further discussion from anyone.
A review based on one visit for all of The Press readers to see shows a presumption that you may have already known how you would feel about a strong Bible church. That said, I can guarantee that our doors will always be open to you and you will be warmly welcomed any time.
