LETTER: Juras a good choice for court

Having lived on the Eastern Hi-Line (Cut Bank, Havre) for many years, I know the country and people pretty well. The people are solid, honest and loyal, the kind you want at your back. Kristen Juras, candidate for the Montana Supreme Court, is one of these, a fourth generation Montanan, daughter of well-known veterinarian, Rib Gustafson. The five Gustafsons grew up on the family ranch in Conrad, active in school and 4-H.

Graduate of MSU and the University of Georgia School of Law, she had the unique opportunity of assisting in cases before the Hague Tribunal. She began teaching at the UM school of Law in 2000 and is currently an adjunct professor. Most of her Montana legal experience has involved small business, ranching and trusts. Over 100 hours have been pro-bono.

Kristen will carry her small-town values, thorough knowledge of Montana statutes, and broad background with her to the Supreme Court. I urge your support. —Mitzi Anderson, Whitefish
