Lorraine Marie Radenz, of Athol, Idaho, passed away on Aug. 26, 2016 in Boise, Idaho. Born July 25, 1926 in Chicago, Ill. to parents Edward John and Marie Etta O’Neill. She recently celebrated her 90th birthday with loving family and chocolate cake.
Lorraine filled her life with new adventures and travels all the time. Some of her favorite trips were Europe, Jamaica, Niagara Falls, the Grand Canyon, Mt. St. Helens, the Oregon Coast and a cruise to Mexico.
Lorraine worked for the Pullman Company in Chicago, Ill. for many years advancing in different departments. She later owned a motel and restaurant in the Wisconsin Dells, where her husband and children assisted. Her next move was to Missouri where she worked for Walmart, held office as city collector and spent her spare time in her passion of crafts and sewing. Her final move was to Athol, Idaho where she enjoyed opening her shop to sell her crafts and sewing. Lorraine was involved in many organizations such as the American Legion Auxiliary, Grandmothers Club, Church and Seniors.
She is survived by children Martin Radenz and Lori Radenz; grandchildren Amanda, Rebecca, Matthew and Ashley Radenz, Joshua Bates and Melanie Kuhlman; great-grandchildren Lily, Logan & Orion; sister Patricia Boyd. She is predeceased by son Jon Golden & daughter Nancy Radenz.
Lorraine was proud of the life she lived and felt that she had done everything she had wanted to do. She explored, socialized and enjoyed every opportunity that crossed her path. She was a dedicated mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed.
