Spikers gut out three wins

The Columbia Falls spikers had a stellar week, dropping three solid opponents on the road. The volleyball team opened with Flathead Thursday, dropping the Bravettes in straight sets 25-14, 25-20, 25-18. Kaitlyn Casazza led the Wildkats with 11 kills as the team racked up 39 kills total to Flathead’s 14.
Over the weekend, the girls dumped Hamilton 25-20, 25-14, 25-21 and then ground out a victory against Corvallis in five sets 25-22, 23-25, 25-21, 23-25, 15-9 in a rematch of last year’s state title match.
The Kats remain undefeated on the season. Individual stats were not available for the Corvallis match, but Morgan Stenger had 12 kills over the Lady Broncs and the Kats had 40 as a team.
Cydney Finberg led the team in assists, with 33 of the squads 35 assists.
The Kats face Whitefish away Thursday and then Stevensville at home Saturday.
