SANDPOINT — At the Greater Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce, volunteers are essential to the chamber’s success. Without the hard work and dedication of everyone, the chamber could not accomplish all that it does.
“With that in mind, we want to thank those willing to go above and beyond to help our programs and events be successful,” said Kate McAlister, chamber president and CEO. “The Greater Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors would like to give a special appreciation to Mack Deibel for his active participation in the chamber events and his commitment to make our community a better place to live and work.”
Community service was engrained in Deibel at a young age, he said. “I volunteered a lot as a young person and have been honored to make a difference since joining the Greater Sandpoint Community,” Deibel added.
He said he enjoys volunteering at chamber events and supporting tourism in the area. From slicing fruit and baked goods at the Scenic Half marathon, contributing to local non-profits by holding fundraisers at MickDuff’s Beer Hall to facilitating the Sandpoint Beerfest, anything to help add vitality to the community is more than a worthy cause in Deibel’s eyes. With a degree in marketing and strategic communications, Mack has offered his services and expertise to various local non-profits for writing, marketing and social media in the past as well.
“Mack is a very gifted individual with the skills to do anything,” said McAlister, “His marketing and communication talent comes through, not only in his previous work here at the chamber, but certainly in his current position with MickDuff’s. He has a great passion for Sandpoint and it shows.”
In fact, Deibel was the primary force behind the tremendous success of the chamber’s third annual Sandpoint Beerfest in early July.
You will see Deibel serving and making beer regularly at MickDuff’s Brewery. He is passionate about beer making, and the passion became his work. Deibel is more than happy to share his philosophy of beer making and giving tips to microbrew enthusiasts. When not working, he enjoys outdoor activities such as skiing at Schweitzer, wakesurfing on the lake and exploring North Idaho.
“Please join the Greater Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce in congratulating Mack Deibel honored as the Volunteer of the Month and thanking him for all of his contributions to our community,” McAlister said. “His hard work has done a lot for so many causes in our community. Thank you Mack.”
