Erma Katy Tifft, 84, passed away on Friday, Sept. 2, 2016, at her home near Sandpoint, Idaho.

Viewing will be held from 9 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 12, 2016, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Sandpoint Stake Center, 602 Schweitzer Cutoff Road. Graveside funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. at the Pack River Cemetery with Bishop Steven Roos conducting.

Erma was born on Oct. 21, 1931, in Hooper, Utah, to Alvin and Lena Cook. Erma moved to Athol, Idaho, where she met Edmund D. Tifft. They married on Sept. 22, 1952, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Erma worked at the Sandpoint Manor in housekeeping.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and the Eagles Lodge. She enjoyed spending time with her family, knitting, crocheting, sewing, and crafting.

She is survived by her two daughters, Judy Vance of Ogden, Utah, and Donna Calloway of Elmira, Idaho; a son, Edmund J. Tifft of Sand-point; two brothers, Lee and Rulon Black, both of Ogden; eight grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The family would like to give special thanks to Debbie Tifft for her loving care of Mom.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edmund in 1986; a sister, Donna Rust; a son, Alvin Tifft; and a great-granddaughter, Heavenly Lowery.
