Rebuttal: The dark age of Aquarius

I would like to point out in Sholeh Patrick’s regularly featured opinion column — odd the Press does not label as such as it does with other writers — a few discrepancies.
The feature was titled; Humanities define, shape, mankind. Her glaring omission lies in her introduction, stating that philosophy, religion, history, and the arts contextually bringing facts to human life; first she omits science and its contribution to public opinion. She replaces the term “facts of human life” to what they really shape; public opinion which is constantly evolving.
Science does not provide factual knowledge; it provides information that has been researched according to the latest methods, fads and theories developed for research, nothing more.
Thomas Samuel Kuhn wrote extensively on this subject. In his famous book "The Structure of Scientific Revolutions," he presents the idea that science does not "evolve gradually toward truth," but instead undergoes periodic revolutions known as paradigm shifts. Likewise the humanities do not bring facts to human life but also rather explain paradigm shifts according to public opinion which is constantly involving, as Patrick correctly points out.
Patrick points out the '60s and its epiphany-like revelation to humanity, particularly in this country. She praises the new age (Aquarian) contribution it provided as positive. On the contrary, the cultural revelation of the '60s represented a steep decline in morals and an open rebellion against the rights of God and His Church unknown before to humanity and human history; to wit, the beginnings of condoning by the government of the unleashing of perverted sexual license and the killing of the unborn.
The National Endowment for the Arts has a dark reputation of depicting Our Jesus Christ being blasphemed by incredible irreverence shown to the crucifix; and this all in the name of humanity, liberty, and freedom of expression?
Typically, Patrick’s Pollyannaish notion of mankind and its enlightenments fails to address the true role of religion in our world, the advancement of true religion and its role of redemption for a decadent human race. Philosophy, the arts, and history when viewed through the eyes of God not man, brings true enlightenment. And this was and continues to be accomplished by Holy Mother the Church, The Roman Catholic Church, the true religion of Jesus Christ.
Without this core all else is philanthropic and man-centered propagation the kingship of man (vis a vis the humanities) to the detriment of the rights of God and His Church. It is no wonder that today we are being punished by two presidential candidates equally evil and inept. We get the leaders we deserve.
