Timberlake boys, girls soccer games rescheduled

Monday’s boys and girls soccer games pitting Timberlake High at Priest River were rescheduled for Wednesday.

The girls game is scheduled for 5:30 p.m., followed by the boys at 7:30.

WSU men open Pac-12 play at Washington on Jan. 1

SAN FRANCISCO — Washington State’s men’s basketball teams opens up Pac-12 play at Washington on ESPNU, Sunday, Jan. 1 at 5:30 p.m., Pac-12 Commissioner Larry Scott announced, along with the entire 2016-17 Pac-12 men’s basketball television schedule.

WSU will appear on the Pac-12 Network 13 times during the conference regular season and eight times during the nonconference regular season for a total of 21 games on the Pac-12 Network. The Cougars will appear on ESPNU four times and Fox Sports 1 once, all five of those games during Pac-12 play.

Following Washington State’s Pac-12 opener at Washington at 5:30 p.m., Jan. 1 on ESPNU, it will host a ‘home’ game against Oregon State, Wednesday, Jan. 4 at Spokane Arena at 8 p.m. That game begins a streak of 11 straight games on the Pac-12 Networks. Following the game at Spokane, WSU will host its Pullman Pac-12 opener against Oregon, Saturday, Jan. 7 at 4 p.m. The Cougars last played at Spokane Arena, Dec. 10, 2014 against Gonzaga, and last hosted a conference game at Spokane Arena, Jan. 8, 2014, an overtime loss to No. 15 Colorado. Like the 2013-14 season, the Cougars will also host a game at the Toyota Center in Kennewick, Wash., which will take place during nonconference play, Nov. 15 against Central Washington.

The Cougars hit the road for its first two-game road trip of the season as it heads to the Bay Area to take on Stanford, Thursday, Jan. 12 and California, Saturday, Jan. 14. The game against Stanford will take place at 8 p.m., while the game at Berkeley will tip at 1 p.m. Both games will be televised on the Pac-12 Networks. WSU did not go to the Bay Area last season, as part of the Pac-12 expansion which causes each team to play a total of four teams just once during the conference season, two of the games at home and two on the road. The Cougars will not go to the Oregon schools this season.

Washington State returns home to host Utah, Wednesday, Jan. 18 at 6 p.m., followed by a game with Colorado, Saturday, Jan. 21 at 1 p.m. That is followed by a trip to Arizona to take on the Wildcats, Thursday, Jan. 26 at 6:30 p.m. PT and the Sun Devils, Sunday, Jan. 29 at 11 a.m. PT. All four of those games will be shown on the Pac-12 Networks.

WSU opens February at home with UCLA, Wednesday, Feb. 1 at 6 p.m., followed by a meeting with USC, Saturday, Feb. 4 at 6 p.m., also at Beasley Coliseum. The next week the Cougars head to the Mountain schools and take on Utah at Salt Lake City, Thursday, Feb. 9 at 6 p.m. followed by a trip to Boulder, Colo., to take on Colorado, Sunday, Feb. 12 at 6 p.m. Sunday’s game will be televised on ESPNU.

The Cougars then host three straight games, beginning with Arizona, Thursday, Feb. 16 at 6 p.m. on Fox Sports 1, followed by Arizona State, Saturday, Feb. 18 at 2 p.m. on Pac-12 Networks. Over a week later, the Huskies come to town for ‘Senior Day’ as WSU hosts Washington, Sunday, Feb. 26 at 5:30 p.m. on ESPNU.

The Cougars end the Pac-12 season at Los Angeles, heading to USC, Wednesday, March 1 for a 7 p.m. tip, followed by a date with UCLA, Saturday, March 4 at 6:30 p.m. The USC game will be on Pac-12 Network while the UCLA game will air on ESPNU. All 12 league schools will head to Las Vegas for the Pac-12 Tournament, March 8-11. This season the tournament will be held at T-Mobile Arena.

Washington State hosts an exhibition game against Carroll College of Helena, Mont., Sunday, Nov. 6. It opens the regular season on Veteran’s Day, Friday, Nov. 11, with a nonconference matchup against Montana State at 4 p.m. at Beasley Coliseum.
