Reiko Wentworth, 86, of Moses Lake passed away Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2016 at home. She was born on Oct. 19, 1929 in Sendai, Japan. She met her husband, Curtis, in her home town of Sendai and they were married in Yokohama, Japan on Oct. 17, 1956.

In 1960 she had twin boys, David and Daniel, at Johnston AFB, Japan. In 1963 she had another son, Arthur, born in Las Vegas, Nev. In 1963, Reiko also became a citizen of the United States of America.

Most will remember her from the Flight Deck Restaurant (1978-1990) which Curtis and Reiko owned and operated, bringing her own flair of Japanese cuisine to Moses Lake, Wash. Reiko made many friends while working at Walmart from 1993 to 2012, until having to retire after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Christopher.

No services are planned. Just like Reiko, a quiet modest family service is all she requested. Beloved wife and mother of 59 years and a mother of three, she will be missed by many.

Please sign the online guestbook or leave a note for the family at www.kayserschapel.com. Arrangements are in care of Kayser’s Chapel & Crematory.
