Wildkat volleyball dropped rival Whitefish in four sets Thursday for a key conference victory on the road.

Cydney Finberg led the effort with 38 assists and four aces as the Wildkats rolled 25-23, 25-13, 20-25, 25-10. Columbia Falls totaled 44 kills, 20 more than the Bulldogs. Kaitlyn Casazza had 13 for the Wildkats.

Morgan Stenger led the Kats defense with four stuff blocks, while Kiara Burlage snagged 16 digs.

The Wildkats (5-0) kept their perfect record with a nonconference victory, 25-10, 25-22, 20-25, 25-16, at home Saturday over Stevensville.

The Kats dominated with 44 kills to Stevensville’s 29. Burlage led the way with 17 of her own.

Stenger and Kaitlin Casazza each tallied a dozen digs in the victory.

As a team, Columbia Falls leads the Northwest in assists, averaging nearly 10 per set. The team also leads in average kills per set with 11.

The Wildkats are at Polson on Thursday.
