Dump closed Sunday

Doing some fall clean-up work around the yard this weekend? Don’t plan to take yard debris, or anything else, to the dump Sunday afternoon.

All Kootenai County solid waste facilities will close at 2 p.m. Sunday for an employee appreciation gathering.

“Due to maintaining operations seven days a week, it is difficult to show our employees our appreciation,” stated an announcement of the closure.

The facilities will reopen at 8 a.m. Monday and operate as usual.
