POST FALLS — Final testing of new equipment at Avista’s Post Falls South Channel Dam is scheduled for Thursday and Friday.

In order for Avista to safely conduct the testing, the Spokane River downstream of the Spokane Street Bridge including the Q’emiln Park Boat Launch will be closed.

Water levels will not be significantly affected by the tests, according to Avista.

Interested persons can check project status at avistautilities.com/waterflow. In the event the tests are completed ahead of schedule, Avista will post notification that ramps are open.

Remember, water levels and conditions around the dam are subject to change at any time. River-users should exercise caution whenever using the waterways.

Customers can access waterflow information at avistautilities.com/waterflow.

For anticipated elevation changes on Lake Spokane, the Spokane River and Lake Coeur d’Alene Lake call 769-1357.
