Competition is not a dirty word. Competition works.

The basics of a free market system: If you have a better product for a cheaper price, the free market system works and that helps consumers. The give and take of supply and demand has proven best for America. Government controls, price-fixing, rarely works and can even hurt small ubusinesses and consumers. Government cannot be picking favorites in a free enterprise society.

The Durbin Amendment in the Dodd-Frank Act did just this. It allowed the government to set price controls, pick favorite companies and promised big cost savings for the consumer. Have any of you seen these price reductions at your local stores? Price-fixing, historically, usually causes collapse. The free enterprise system is what America was founded upon.

Senators Crapo and Risch, please repeal the Dodd-Frank Act and Durbin Amendment.
