Sometimes a matchup with your nearest league competitor is just the medicine to cure what ails ’ya.
The North Idaho College men’s soccer team hopes that’s the case on Wednesday, when the Cardinals play host to Community Colleges of Spokane in a Northwest Athletic Conference East Region clash at 4:15 p.m. at NIC’s Eisenwinter Field.
NIC’s men are off to 1-2 start in league (1-4-2 overall). CCS is 2-3-2, 2-1-0 in league.
Both have played Columbia Basin and Wenatchee Valley in NWAC play so far this season, with opposite results. NIC beat CBC 1-0, and CCS lost to CBC 3-1. NIC lost to Wenatchee Valley 3-1, and Spokane beat Wenatchee Valley 1-0.
NIC’s women’s soccer team, which has outscored its opponents 19-1 en route to a 3-0 start in NWAC East Region play, returns to action Saturday at Yakima Valley.
NIC’s volleyball team, off to a 2-1 start in NWAC play, is home tonight against Blue Mountain and at home Wednesday against Yakima Valley.
