COEUR d’ALENE — Havana Johnson scored two goals to lead the Lake City Timberwolves to a nonleague 3-2 win over Lewis and Clark on Monday at Lake City High.

Annica Wilson also scored, and Lily Scott and Caitlin Barber added assists for the T-Wolves (6-1-2), who host Lakeland at noon on Saturday.

“I thought it was a tough, grind-out type of win,” Lake City coach Matt Ruchti said. “We’re a little unhealthy right now, but we had a lot of players stepping up, some kids off the JV program and they did a great job against a quality opponent.”

SANDPOINT — Lake City’s Travis Swallow and Sandpoint’s Dawson Mulder waged a scoring duel, each netting hat tricks as the Timberwolves and Bulldogs played to a draw on Monday night in nonleague boys soccer action at Pine Street Field.

Swallow scored in the first minute of the second half to start a barrage of five goals in less than 30 minutes.

Swallow also finished an assist from Cole Fawcett to draw within one in the 64th minute for Lake City (3-3-1), which hosts Moscow in Wednesday.
