Bloody scene not caused by crime

Flathead County Sheriff’s Office found that a bloody sight on Birch Grove Road was not suspicious. A deputy found a garbage bag full of animal remains from a hunter’s kill. Another driver reported the scene later in the day.
Dispatchers received a report about a young black bear that had been hit by a car on U.S. 2. The bear appeared to have died in the parking lot of a business.
A deputy watched over a business in Bigfork after someone reported that a man had threatened to rob the business later that night. The deputy waited around until closing and found that no robbery had occurred.
A woman called from Woodland Park Drive to report that someone had stabbed her boyfriend after he threatened to kill her. The woman said the boyfriend had a gun. She claimed her boyfriend was in a hotel room and had shot up some heroin. Officers could not locate the man. The woman was told how she might get an order of protection.
Montana Highway Patrol and an ambulance were sent to the Betty Creek area on South Fork Road after someone reported that a logging truck driver had allegedly run off an embankment and into some bushes. Multiple attempts were unsuccessful at waking the man, the caller said. The man appeared to be asleep and the caller was concerned about carbon monoxide poisoning because the truck was still running.
Whitefish Police took a report from a store that claimed a woman had stolen $68 from the establishment in the past month.
Columbia Falls Police educated junior high boys about public and private property after someone reported that they had damaged a urinal and a soap dispenser.
Kalispell Police received a call from a woman on First Avenue East who reported that her phone had been stolen. She then said her life had been threatened and that she was on the run from people who were trying to kill her. The woman then told the dispatcher her phone might be in her car, but that she was afraid to look for it because she might find “planted” drugs there. The woman later called back complaining that an officer had personally offered to track her stolen phone. She accused the officer of conspiracy.
A woman was counseled after she called to complain that her daughter was allegedly driving drunk with the woman’s grandchildren in the car.
A woman reported that her 23-year-old son had fallen victim to a phone scam demanding payment to the Internal Revenue Service.
Two men on Treeline Road were advised not to communicate with each other after a woman’s ex-husband and new boyfriend allegedly threatened each other. One of the men threatened the other with his karate skills. The woman in the middle had encouraged the pair to use the “Family Wizard” app to communicate their issues. The dispatcher advised the parties involved of how to obtain a no-contact order.
An officer determined that youths seen spray painting a roadway near Legends Field were not teen vandals, but instead were participating in preparations for the homecoming parade.
Montana Highway Patrol responded to the report of a vehicle that had flipped off Somers Road near a Waterfowl Production Area. The caller to 911 reported that someone was bleeding inside the vehicle. More details were not available.
