A Kalispell woman admitted Thursday to inappropriate conduct involving a 29-year-old resident of a group home.
Elaine Marie Cooper, 47, pleaded guilty to one felony count of criminal endangerment as part of a plea agreement in which one felony count of sexual intercourse without consent was dropped.
While on the witness stand, Cooper tearfully admitted that while she was supervisor of the home, she engaged in conduct that created a substantial risk of emotional or psychological distress to the resident.
The resident had reported in April that Cooper had performed sex acts on him and forced him to perform sex acts on her.
Cooper’s attorney said that the plea agreement reflects an acknowledgment that “there are substantial evidential issues on both sides in this case.”
Sentencing was set for Nov. 23.
