In loving memory of Cheryl Dawn Vellegas, who left us much too soon at the young age of 61 years. Cheryl died peacefully in her sleep at her home on the first day of Autumn, Thursday, Sept. 22, 2016. Cheryl was born Aug. 14, 1955, to Daniel M. and Vonda B. Miller in Benton, Ill.

Cheryl made her home in Coeur d’Alene and had many friends whom she called family. She was known for her laugh and would light up the room of wherever she went; she will be dearly missed.

She enjoyed getting together with friends and loved the casino. Cheryl graduated from high school in Blue Island, Ill.

Cheryl is survived by her son, Daniel Lee Miller and daughter Kimberly Lynne Vellegas; grandchildren Mariah Lynne Marie Silva and Alexis Lynne Marie Vigil, Libby Miller and Emma Miller; a sister, Gayla Ricchio; and many nieces and nephews.

Cheryl was not only a grandmother and mother who was dearly loved, she was the best friend anyone could have in their life. Cheryl’s light will continue to live on in those whose life she touched.

A celebration of life will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, 2016, at the American Legion, 1138 E. Poleline Ave., Post Falls. Please join us to relive good memories and good times.
