POST FALLS — A Post Falls shop with a history of drug activity was raided by police on Thursday, resulting in three women arrested on drug-related charges.
The Kootenai County Sheriff's Office's BearCat armored vehicle was used to gain entrance to the building at 606 E. Fourth Ave. when a search warrant was served at 9 a.m.
Jessica Malloy, 21, Post Falls; Brandi Adamson, 39, Post Falls; and Kylie Robinson, 28, Post Falls, were arrested.
"The three occupants came out without incident once the door was breached," said Post Falls Police Capt. Pat Knight. "We had received information about some possible drug activity coming out of that location."
Post Falls Police served the search warrant with the assistance of the North Idaho Violent Crimes Task Force, which made the arrests. Knight said he didn't know the specific type of drugs the women allegedly possessed.
A male neighbor, who declined to be identified, said there has been suspicious activity at the place for the past several years.
"We believe they've been distributing drugs from there," he said.
Knight said neighbors expressed their appreciation to police after the raid.
"It goes to show you that this has been a nuisance in the neighborhood," Knight said.
Knight said no one was supposed to be living in the shop, which was boarded up after the arrests were made.
Billy L. Joslin Jr., who has an extensive criminal history, was also arrested at the location last August on suspicion of committing rape, attempted strangulation, burglary, kidnapping and robbery.
