Rathdrum Chamber of Commerce
welcomes new office assistant
The Rathdrum Chamber of Commerce recently welcomed Andrea Maddalone as its new office assistant.
Maddalone, who recently moved to the area from Colorado, brings many years of experience and knowledge of Chamber of Commerce operations. In Colorado, she previously worked from 2005 to 2011 as the member/visitor services representative for the Rifle Area Chamber of Commerce and then, as community relations coordinator at Grand River Health from 2011 to 2015, but later returned to her passion of chamber work and was the president/CEO of the Rifle Area Chamber of Commerce from 2015 to 2016 before moving to Idaho.
Maddalone is married to Thomas Maddalone, who is the safety coordinator for Kootenai Electric. They have a 6-year-old son, Beau.
Casey Smith joins
Keller Williams Coeur d’Alene
Casey Smith has recently joined the team of sales professionals at Keller Williams Realty Coeur d’Alene. He previously worked in construction for Riverstone Resources where he learned framing, flooring, tiling and many other skills valuable to any homeowner. Smith, who recently moved to Coeur d’Alene from Bonners Ferry, attended North Idaho College, where he studied business administration.
Keller Williams Realty Coeur d’Alene specializes in residential, luxury, waterfront and commercial properties throughout the Inland Northwest. The company has more than 200 associates with offices in Coeur d’Alene and Sandpoint. Each Keller Williams Realty Company is independently owned and operated.
Coeur d’Alene Bancorp, parent company
of bankcda, reports quarterly earnings
Coeur d’Alene Bancorp reported quarterly earnings of $90,952 or $.07 per share for the three months ended March 31, 2017, compared to a net income of $55,069 or $.04 per share for three months ended for the first quarter 2016.
Tangible book value per share increased to $7.72 compared to $7.65 one year ago.
Total assets ended the quarter at $106.4 million compared to $102.2 million one year ago, which represents a 4.10 percent increase.
Gross loans grew 2.77 percent to $70.6 million as compared to $68.7 million the prior year.
Total deposits ended the quarter at $95.2 million compared to $89.4 million one year ago, which represents a 6.49 percent increase.
All capital ratios continue to exceed regulatory minimums.
“We continue to grow at a steady pace on both sides of the balance sheet. Rising interest rates, a growing economy, and expense control have contributed to increased earnings. We are excited to be recognized as the Best Bank in North Idaho by the North Idaho Business Journal. We have maintained our FIVE Star status by Bauer Financial, which is their highest rating,” said Wes Veach, president and CEO, in a news release.
Bauer Financial is an independent rating agency for financial institutions.
Coeur d’Alene Bancorp, parent company of bankcda, is headquartered in Coeur d’Alene with branches in Coeur d’Alene, Hayden and Kellogg.
Adrian Washington Joins

The Murray Group, formerly Helbling Benefits Consulting, announced its recent hire of Adrian Washington, who has joined the Murray team as head of underwriting and actuarial services. Washington will be responsible for analyzing risk in insurance proposals, calculating premiums and forecasting future claims based on actuarial and statistical information.
Washington comes to The Murray Group with more than 15 years of experience in underwriting. Most recently, he underwrote for large national carriers, such as Aetna and Cigna Group, where he performed rate and benefit analysis and forecasting of employer groups ranging from 100 to 5,000 employees. Washington is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame.
