Cardinals bounce back for split with Yakima Valley

YAKIMA, Wash. — Kennedy Anderson went 3 for 4 with two runs scored in the second game for North Idaho College in a 6-4 win over the Yakima Valley Yaks in a Northwest Athletic Conference East Region doubleheader at Dunbar Field on Saturday.

Earlier, NIC allowed five runs in the first inning of the first game to fall 9-6.

Jamie Yurick had two hits and two runs scored in the second game for NIC (13-5, 7-3 NWAC), which travels to Wenatchee Valley today for a doubleheader starting at noon.

Yakima Valley is 8-12, 5-11.
