MOSES LAKE — If you have a concern you want heard, or just want to listen about what your congressman is doing in Washington D.C., then set aside some time tomorrow night.
Fourth Congressional District Rep. Dan Newhouse, R-Yakima, is hosting a series of congressional listening sessions in April in Grant, Yakima and Okanogan counties to give his constituents an opportunity to voice their concerns and discuss priorities of the 115th Congress.
The Grant County listening session will be held from 6-7 p.m. tomorrow night in the Moses Lake Civic Center Auditorium, 401 S. Balsam St.
Because of limited seating, and because attendance is restricted to Fourth District residents only, proof of address is required for check-in. Check-in begins at 5 p.m. and people are encouraged to visit www.eventbrite.com/e/grant-county-listening-session-hosted-by-congressman-dan-newhouse-tickets-33496531026 to pre-register. Newhouse’s office states pre-registration is not required and does not guarantee admission. Pre-registering is intended to speed up the check-in process at the event.
“Items that inhibit the participation or view of fellow constituents will be prohibited, including, but not limited to, signs, banners, noisemakers, and bullhorns,” according to a release from Newhouse’s office. “Constituents who attempt to bring prohibited items into the event will be asked to dispose of the item or return it to their vehicle.”
