Korok's game-winning hit starts Cards toward sweep

COEUR d’ALENE — Kalyna Korok singled to score Kennedy Anderson with the winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning for North Idaho College in a 7-6 win over the Big Bend Vikings of Moses Lake in the first game of a Northwest Athletic Conference doubleheader at Memorial Field on Tuesday.

NIC took a 5-0 lead after the first three innings, keyed by a two-run home run by Anderson in the first inning.

In the second game, NIC beat Big Bend 11-3 to earn the sweep. Details from the second game were unavailable.

NIC (16-7, 10-5 NWAC) hosts Blue Mountain on Saturday.

Big Bend is 6-14, 5-11.
