Libby Logger and Troy Trojan Tennis in Bigfork

The Libby Logger Tennis team traveled to Bigfork Saturday, April 8. Logger boys defeated the Bigfork Vikings boys 5-1. The Logger girls split with the Bigfork Vals 3-3.

Jhamaal Sykes, the number one boys singles player for Libby won over Alex Buenz 6-4 and 6-0. Virgil Sadewasser lost to the Viking’s Michael Bedford 0-6 and 2-6. Dameon Kelch battled back to defeat Reed Barrows 3-6, 6-3, and 7-5. Zach Carter defeated Wyatt Reichabach 6-3 and 3-1

The No. 1 doubles team of Erik Lauer and Braydan Thom defeated the Viking’s boys team of Clayton Reichbach and Grant Gibson. Ryan Nagle and Gio Cano, the No. 2 doubles team easily defeated Cole Heider and Nate Frizell 6-1 and 6-1.

The Logger girls No. 1 single, Mehki Sykes lost to the No. 1 Val single, Ellie Berreth, 5-7 and 0-6. Isabelle Martineau captured the win over Kalia Wicklund 7-5 and 7-5. Logger Dora Antues lost to Lady Val Wilson Vogt 0-6 and 1-6. Logger Savannah Huni was defeated by Bigfork’s Mariila Zavala, 1-6 and 0-6. Logger girls doubles were able to get two wins from the Vals. Jessika Jones and Marissa Wood deafeated Julia Sauders and Anna Fox 4-6, 6-1 and 7-6(4). Morgan Snyder and Madison Snyder for the Loggers also came up with a win over Vals Lara Guenzlar and Melissa Maihand 6-4, 5-7, and 6-1.

In a second match of the day Logger boys took on the Troy Trojans in Bigfork. They defeated the Trojans 6-0. Jhamaal Sykes defeated Cody Osterberg 6-3, and 6-1 in the No. 1 singles match. Virgil Sadewasser took the win over Austin McCully 7-6(6) and 6-1. Dameon Kelch went the distance with Jaymin Stever for the win 6-4, 1-6, and 6-1. Zach Carter finished the day off with a win over Trojan Tyler Gromley 6-4, 1-6, and 7-5.

The Logger boys No. 1 doubles team Erik Lauer and Braydan Thom came up with the hard fought win over Trojans, Dylan Cummings and Noah Caballero 4-6, 7-5, 6-0. Ryan Nagle and Gio Cano were able to finish the day for the Loggers with a win over Zach Cotten and Nate Frizell 6-3 and 6-0.

In the third match of the day Libby came away with a match win over Mission 2-0 in Bigfork as well. Virgil Sadewasser was able to defeat Tine Toemkok 6-1 and 6-0. The second win over Mission came from Dameon Kelch defeating Beau Peterson 6-0 and 6-1.
