COEUR d'ALENE — Watch HGTV at 8 o'clock this evening and you'll probably recognize one of the stars.
Century 21 Beutler and Associates Realtor Emily Beutler will be showing her clients around the Lake City in tonight's episode of "Mountain Life," a television series that features beautiful mountainous locations as families search for the perfect home.
"They filmed all over Coeur d'Alene," Beutler said Friday. "We filmed at Crafted, Tubbs Hill and McEuen Park, and then we looked at houses in Coeur d'Alene, Post Falls and Rathdrum."
Beutler said she was contacted by HGTV last summer when they saw one of her listings on the real estate database website Zillow.com. They filmed the show in October.
"It was pretty amazing how much work and production goes into a 30-minute show," she said. "There were four full days of filming. They had three days with me and a day just with the buyers. They gave them GoPros and they went dirt biking."
Emily's mom, Ann, said she's very excited to see her daughter on TV. Emily, who was born and raised in Coeur d'Alene, has been in real estate for five years and both her parents are brokers.
"She's our top agent," Ann said. "It's fun, this is the lifestyle she grew up in."
Emily said she will be joining her buyers in their new home to enjoy the show.
"It was definitely rewarding," she said. "I am a huge fan of Coeur d'Alene so it felt pretty special that they picked out this area and I got to be chosen to help represent it."
