COEUR d’ALENE — Caelyn Orlandi and a pair of North Idaho College athletes were among the North Idaho college winners Saturday night at the 54th annual North Idaho Sports Banquet at the Best Western Plus Coeur d’Alene Inn.

Orlandi, the former Coeur d’Alene High standout who led the Lewis-Clark State women’s basketball team to a runner-up finish at the NAIA tournament, shared Female Athlete of the Year with Chloe McIntosh of the North Idaho College softball team.

North Idaho College men’s basketball player Sam Dowd shared Male Athlete of the Year honors with Idaho punter/kicker Austin Rehkow.

Idaho football coach Paul Petrino, who led the Vandals to a 9-4 record capped by a victory in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl, shared Coach of the Year honors with Jeremiah Robbins, who guided the Lewis-Clark State baseball team to the NAIA World Series title.

On the high school side, it was a good night for gold for the Timberwolves of Lake City.

Lake City baseball coach Paul Manzardo was named 5A-4A Male Coach of the Year after leading the Timberwolves to the state 5A baseball championship last May in Boise. The team also won for 5A-4A Male Team of the Year earlier in the evening. Fellow Lake City coach Matt Ruchti won the 5A-4A Female Coach of the Year after guiding the Timberwolves to their second state title since 2012 in October against Rocky Mountain High of Meridian. Timberlake beat Sugar-Salem for its second-straight state basketball title in February at the Ford Idaho Center in Nampa. Timberlake products Keelie Lawler and Allison Kirby were named co-Female Athlete of the Year for 3A-1A.

Individual awards for other high school sports were also presented.
