AUTISM: Awareness, and love

Panhandle Autism Society is a great resource for families and individuals dealing with Autism. April is Autism Awareness Month. In my house, every second is filled autism awareness. One in 68 children are now affected by autism spectrum disorder. Last Saturday hundreds of people from our community came together to walk for autism awareness. For our family, this is our baseball game, dance recital, or track meet. It’s one of few opportunities we can get together with members of the community to celebrate my son and who he is.

Thank you to the Panhandle Autism society and all the volunteers for putting on another great walk for autism awareness. The time and energy you dedicate to the families in our community is invaluable.
