Jimmy Ray Lynn, 76
Jimmy Ray Lynn passed away April 13, 2017, at the age of 76. Our dear father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend passed away peacefully due to health related complications. Jimmy was born in Coeur d’Alene on March 29, 1941, to Ray Curtis and Corinthia Mable Lynn.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife Lola Brink; sister Della Conger and brother Gerald Lynn. He is survived by his sister, Elaine Bartlett; brother Gary Lynn; daughter Lora Mattoon and son-in-law Lonnie Mattoon; sons Tommy Lynn, and Charles Lynn and daughter-in-law Tammy Lynn; numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He resided in Coeur d’Alene most of his life, with a short period of time in Walla Walla, Wash., where he met the love of his life, Lola.
During his life, he held several jobs, but loved bragging about being the first ambulance driver in Kootenai County, enjoyed telling stories about driving the oil truck and his many years with the Coeur d’Alene School District. He liked to camp, fish, loved woodworking (making rocking horses for the grand babies), but his favorite pastime was to tease some unsuspecting soul.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 20, 2017, at Yates Funeral Home, 373 E. Hayden Ave., Hayden, Idaho. Viewing will be from 9-10:30 a.m. Burial services will follow at Coeur d’Alene Memorial Gardens, 7315 N. Government Way, Coeur d’Alene.
