Margie Lou Ward, 75
Margie Lou Ward, 75, of Coeur d’Alene, passed away on the sixth of March at Kootenai Health due to complications from hip surgery. Born in Sulfur, Okla., on Jan. 2, 1942, to Arkwright and Lou Reba Ward.
She graduated in 1960 from Chaffey High School in Ontario, Calif., where she was nominated basketball Queen. She worked in the hospitality field for more than 30 years in the Palm Springs area serving many celebrities, including Frank Sinatra. She had a love for life, was a great baker and loved decorating for all holidays. She moved to the Idaho area to be with her family when they relocated. She was a very devoted daughter, mother, grandmother and friend to all. She was a caretaker to both her parents before their passing and her older brother.
Her favorite hobbies were visiting friends and shopping at Fred Meyer, (enjoying her favorite Starbucks and pastry) walking the alfalfa fields with her dogs, playing with her kitties, cooking and gardening. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, watching her favorite shows and basketball. She was also very welcoming to her neighbors.
She is survived by her brother, two sons, daughter, four grandchildren and many friends!
She was beautiful, loving, caring, had a great sense of humor, was compassionate, a wonderful mother and friend that will be dearly missed and never forgotten! She will be placed with her children and scattered in her most special places at a latter time. Family contact: Christina (310) 428-6782.
