Moore leads Cards to sweep

COEUR d’ALENE — Kayla Moore allowed four hits over six shutout innings, then came back to close out the nightcap as North Idaho College swept the Treasure Valley Chukars 8-0 and 11-5 in a Northwest Athletic Conference East Region softball doubleheader on Saturday at Memorial Field.

Kennedy Anderson drove in two runs and Nikki Miller hit a solo home run in the first game for NIC.

Three players had three hits each and both Natalie Schwab and Megan Carver drove in two runs each in the second game for NIC (20-7, 14-5 NWAC), which hosts the Community Colleges of Spokane on Tuesday.

Treasure Valley is 14-12, 12-8.
